Staying Connected in Difficult Times

It’s been a while since we’ve updated our news section here on the Wind&Bones website, but behind the scenes we’ve been feverishly working on various projects, thinking about how we can continue to work to benefit people in these strange times of COVID-19.

A couple of weeks back, we ran some online workshops, training members of Greenpeace who worked on media and communications. The workshops were designed to develop more effective communication and storytelling. We had participants from across central and eastern Europe: everywhere from Austria to Bulgaria to Croatia to Romania. Our first workshop was on the art of writing manifestos, and our second on storytelling with power.

Our friends at Greenpeace Bulgaria provided the support, and did some excellent DJ-ing whilst the participants were writing. As well as being huge amounts of fun, the workshops resulted in some challenging, powerful writing.

We’re now busy working on scripting and filming for some more online courses, to be launched soon over on our courses page. We’ll post again when the first course is up and running, some time early in August, all being well. Meanwhile, our mentoring programme is now in full swing (also on the courses page), and we’re working with writers on some fascinating projects.

Alongside this, we’ve been working on new writing projects of our own (updates coming soon!), and continuing to explore new ways of enhancing social connections in a time of physical distancing. Because in times like this, we need each other more than ever.
