Last Saturday, we took the train to Kaohsiung, in South Taiwan, and headed to the Kaohsiung Readers Festival. The festival was a huge event, full of books (as you might gather) and all kinds of associated literature stalls, people and happenings!
During the festival Will was talking in Mandarin with Su Shin, the manager of Bookman Books / 書林書店 about our book Tâigael: Stories from Taiwanese & Gaelic, heritage languages, translation, and writing across and between cultures.
The event was a lot of fun, and it was great to see copies of our books, Tâigael, Mother Tongue and On the Bodies of Strangers out in the wild — and in the hands of readers!
