As publishers from Scotland, with four paperback titles now available, alongside three digital shorts and more titles planned for the future, we thought it was high time we joined Publishing Scotland. And so we’re delighted to let you know that this month that is exactly what we did!
So who are Publishing Scotland, you ask? The organisation was established in Edinburgh in 1974, and is the network, trade and development body for the book publishing sector in Scotland. Their vision is: ‘To become the lead body for the publishing sector in Scotland by helping to create an environment that allows publishers, writers, and content producers to innovate; and to play a part in fostering excellence in the production and delivery of creative content in the 21st century.’
They represent a wide range of publishers and suppliers – both print and digital. Publishers who are part of the network include HarperCollins, Canongate Books, Edinburgh University Press, Saraband, and Witherby Publishing Group, as well as the publishing divisions of National Galleries Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and National Museums Scotland.
We’re delighted to be part of this network and are looking forward to learning lots, connecting with fellow publishers and becoming more embedded in the inspiring creative landscape of Scotland.
