Just before the Christmas break, Wind&Bones Books co-director Will Buckingham headed up to Taipei to lead two workshops in the beautiful, historical Dadaocheng area of the city. House of Story Wear invited Wind&Bones Books to run the workshops as a part of their Great British Christmas Festival.
Whilst there, Will facilitated two workshops, one for children—telling stories from his picture book The Snorgh and the Sailor—and one for adults, sharing some stories from Tâigael: Stories from Taiwanese & Gaelic, and inviting participants to share stories of their own.
Both workshops were relaxed and interactive, and focussed on how we can tell stories that warm the heart and inspire the spirit of adventure.
Participants at the latter workshop – and Will - also got to enjoy a wee dram of Scottish whisky!
The events were bilingual—or multilingual, with a mix of English, Mandarin and Taiwanese and all participants wrote and shared a selection of moving, funny and inspiring stories. A huge thanks to everyone who joined us and to House of Story Wear for the warm invitation.
