Creative Writing Unleashed at NCKU

September has started and don’t we know it! During this first week of the month our Creative Writing Unleashed course in collaboration with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan has begun.

National Cheng Kung University is a public research university located in the East District of Tainan, Taiwan. Founded in 1931 during Japanese rule as a technical and engineering college, the university is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Taiwan.

Wind&Bones co-director Dr Will Buckingham has been working with the group of students in person, while Dr Hannah Stevens has been joining virtually from the UK.

It’s meant a lot of super-early starts for Hannah. But the students and our NCKU colleague Lin-chin Tsai from the Chinese Language Department are fantastic and have made these sessions a total joy.

During this week-long course, we’ll be covering editing, flash fiction, translation, art as inspiration for writing and much more besides.

Literature and connections across borders are something we feel really passionately about, and we have loved every moment.

It’s always a delight to be invited to design and run projects like this. We are always open to creative ideas and collaborations. So feel free to drop us a line if you’d like to work with us.
