In June we have not one but two book events taking place Bookman Bookstore in Taipei. Bookman Books was established in 1977 in Taipei and has grown into a prominent Taiwanese publisher and importer of books. The company specializes in Mandarin and English titles across a wide range of subjects, including literary works, linguistics, translation studies, film, drama, social sciences, and cultural research.
Our first event is centred around Tâigael: Stories from Taiwanese&Gaelic and the second on the recently published Mother Tongue, by Taiwanese Canadian writer Hilda Hoy.
Both events are taking place at Bookman Bookstore in Taipei on the same day on Saturday 6th June 2026. They will be primarily in English and have some Mandarin translation.
The events are free to attend and everyone is welcome!
