Yesterday, we finished our third nonfiction course in partnership with AFEAS, the Academic Foundation for English and American Studies. We had a brilliant bunch of students, and it was an enormously stimulating weekend.
One of the pleasures of teaching is that it feeds into your our own practice of writing. So here is a piece written by Wind&Bones’s very own Will Buckingham, prompted by a conversation with one of our studnets. It is about the art of nonfiction, the low-lying hazards of the Sofia streets, and the difference between exploration and expression in nonfiction writing.
