Wind&Bones Books is an occasional publishing imprint that produces books where storytelling meets ethics, and where creativity meets social change.
We started publishing in 2019, with the revised new edition of Will Buckingham’s book Finding Our Sea-Legs: Ethics, Experience and the Ocean of Stories.
Finding Our Sea-Legs
At Wind&Bones we care above all else about stories and ethics. Will Buckingham’s Finding Our Sea-Legs: Ethics, Experience and the Ocean of Stories brings these two concerns together to ask how we can navigate ethics when we are far from the shores of certainty. This is a philosophy book in stories — of sea-voyagers, palmwine-drunk gods, philosophers, and unexpectedly wise woodpeckers — that challenges us to think differently about the nature of ethics.
First published in 2009 by Kingston University Press, we’ve reissued the book in a fabulous new edition, with a revised text and a handsome cover.
